Village Committees
This committee works with all matters relating to finances, indebtedness and appropriations. The committee works closely with the Fiscal Officer on financial matters. Made up of three (3) Council members appointed by the Mayor, the Fiscal Officer as a presenter and the Mayor as a presenter.
The Finance Committee meets the third Monday of each month at 7:00pm When Monday falls on a holiday, the meeting is normally held on the following Thursday at 7:00pm after the holiday.

This committee works with matters relating to zoning regulations of the Village of Creston. Made up of five (5) members. They are one member of Council to serve for the remainder of their elected term, two citizens of the Village, one public member, the Mayor as a presenter and Zoning Inspector as a presenter, all to be appointed by the mayor. Meets as needed.

This committee works with matters relating to appeals of the zoning regulations and variance requests of the Village of Creston. Made up of five (5) residents, the Zoning Inspector as a presenter and the Mayor as a presenter. All of the members are to be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council. At the initial appointment each member is appointed to a term of five, four, three, two, and one year respectively. This means that one member’s term shall expire each year and that seat would need to be reappointed. Meets as needed.
The Mayor appoints three members to this board. Meets monthly.

Made up of the Mayor, Fiscal Officer, Solicitor and one citizen appointed by the Mayor. The Mayor is the chair of the committee and is required to meet at least once every six months. The Committee is to provide the rules for record retention and disposal, review applications for one-time disposal of obsolete records. The Committee may dispose of records pursuant to the procedure in 149.381 and may review any schedule previously approved and for good cause revise it as provided in 149.381. Meets every 6 months/twice per year, preferably in January and July.
